Mr. Ashish Vohra is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Nippon Life Insurance Company Limited, one of the largest Life Insurance companies in India. Reliance Nippon Life is a joint venture between Reliance Capital Limited, amongst India’s most valuable Financial Services companies and Nippon Life, Japan, the largest private Insurer in Japan and a Global Fortune 500 company. He is responsible for providing leadership to the entire business in its journey towards achieving its vision of being a Company that customers and all stakeholders trust and grow with, by providing financial independence to every life it touches.
Ashish has over 25 years of invaluable experience in the financial services and manufacturing industries, in diverse roles across marketing, sales, product and business development.
His last assignment was at Max Life Insurance, as Senior Director and Chief Distribution Officer, where he was responsible for delivering robust growth in top-line and increase in market share through existing and new distribution models while ensuring channel profitability, high persistency and a quality book of business. Under his leadership the company consistently maintained its number one position amongst the non - bank owned Life Insurance companies in India.
Prior to joining Max Life, Ashish was Executive Vice President and Head – Commercial Business at Fullerton India Credit Corporation. As a Founder team member at Fullerton, Ashish headed the P&L responsibility for Commercial Mass Markets and helped Fullerton to successfully capture the retail finance opportunity in India through secured, unsecured and fee based products delivered through a network of 500 branches and 8000 employees. Earlier, at Citibank N.A, he was the Business Manager for Asset Based Finance for India that helped the Bank gain a strong foothold in the SME space in India.
Ashish has served a long stint with Eicher Motors earlier.
Ashish is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT-BHU, and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Bangalore.
He is known for his ability to seamlessly partner with team members and achieve shared goals. He is a firm believer in the fact that deliveries happen through people and teams.
